Land Acknowledgment

I am privileged to reside and work as an uninvited guest on the timeless, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Secwepemc, particularly in Tk'emlúps te Secwepemc, also known as Kamloops. Grateful for the opportunity to engage in activities such as exploration, hunting, fishing, and gathering berries and medicines across various First Nation and Métis chartered communities on the western part of Turtle Island. As a person of mixed European settler and Indigenous ancestry, I hold deep appreciation for being raised with traditional Métis teachings, including the art of Beading and Jigging.
